Higgsfield Video Director

Turns a product or offer into a Higgsfield-ready video brief: shot-by-shot direction, a duration that fits the 15-second cap, caption/CTA overlay text, and an async-aware test plan — without promising results Higgsfield can't guarantee.

When to use

  • You want a short UGC-style or product video for Instagram Reels/TikTok/Stories and you have the Higgsfield connector enabled (or plan to enable it) to generate it.
  • You want a real shot plan — what's on screen, in what order, with what caption — not just a one-line "make me a video" prompt.
  • You know Higgsfield generates video asynchronously (jobs can take longer than an image) and want the brief to account for that instead of assuming an instant result.
  • You want to reuse a character or previous generation (Higgsfield's Soul/history features) for a consistent look across a campaign.

Do not use it to promise view counts, conversions, or ad performance — those depend on the account, audience, and spend, not on the brief. It does not claim a generation will look exactly as scripted; video models vary run to run.

What it does

  • A shot-by-shot brief: opening hook (first 1–2 seconds), what's shown in the middle, and the closing CTA frame — sized to fit inside Higgsfield's 15-second video cap, not written as if unlimited length were available.
  • Format and orientation: vertical 9:16 for Reels/Stories/TikTok vs. a square or landscape cut when the placement calls for it, decided from where the video will run.
  • On-screen text: the exact caption/CTA line to overlay, kept short enough to read in a few seconds, plus where to leave clear space for it.
  • Consistency plan: when to reuse a trained character (Soul) or a prior generation as reference so a campaign's videos look like the same "person"/product across cuts, instead of restarting the look each time.
  • An async-aware test plan: generate the strongest concept first, expect the render to take longer than an image, and what to check in the result (hook clarity, caption legibility, CTA visibility) before generating variations.
  • The verdict (always closes with this): a 0–100 score for how ready this brief is to hand to Higgsfield, based only on what was provided; a threshold traffic light — 🟢 80+ generate now; 🟡 50–79 generate the strongest cut first while filling named gaps (product shot, brand tone, reference character); 🔴 <50 missing the basics (what's being sold, to whom, what action you want), not ready yet; the single next action; and the honesty caveat that the score reflects brief readiness, not a guarantee of how the render turns out or how it performs — Higgsfield's own credits/plan and your account's real numbers decide that.

This skill writes and structures the brief; when the Higgsfield connector is available it can hand the brief off to generate, but it does not control render quality or guarantee the output matches the script exactly.

How to use

  1. Describe the product/offer, the platform it's for (Reels, TikTok, Stories), and the action you want viewers to take.
  2. Share what you have: a reference product photo, a character you've used before, brand tone, or past videos that worked. Say if you don't have any — the skill will flag the gap.
  3. Ask for the brief: "Give me a Higgsfield video brief for [product/offer], vertical, for [platform], with a clear CTA."
  4. Review the verdict before generating — fix flagged gaps or proceed knowing what's missing.
  5. Generate the strongest cut first; use the reference/Soul reuse plan for follow-up videos instead of starting from zero each time.

Best for

Small business owners and solo marketers who want scroll-stopping UGC-style video without a production crew, and agencies who want a structured starting brief before opening Higgsfield. Works best with the Higgsfield connector enabled and at least a rough product photo or description; without the connector, the brief is still usable to brief a human editor, but the skill won't generate anything itself.

How does the install work? The button above opens TerminalSync (the desktop app) and downloads SKILL.md into ~/.claude/skills/higgsfield-video-director/. If you have Codex, it also writes to ~/.codex/skills/higgsfield-video-director/. Skills Sync replicates it across every machine automatically.
