When to use
- You need a poster, product mockup, social ad image, or logo direction and you have the Ideogram connector enabled (or plan to enable it) to generate it.
- You want more than one option: distinct visual directions to compare, not a single guess.
- The image needs readable text baked in — a headline, a price, a date — which is the thing most image generators get wrong.
- You know where the image will run (Instagram feed, Story, a printed poster, a banner) and want the brief matched to that format from the start.
Do not use it to promise a finished, on-brand asset without ever seeing your logo, colors, or product photo — if those are missing, the skill asks for them or flags the gap instead of inventing a brand identity. It does not fabricate claims, prices, or legal copy to put on the image.
What it does
- Distinct visual directions: usually 3–4 options that differ in concept (problem-first, product-in-use, before/after, proof/testimonial), not 3 crops of the same idea.
- Exact in-image text: for each direction, the precise headline/CTA text to render, kept short and high-contrast because Ideogram's strength is legible typography — not a paragraph that will turn to mush at thumbnail size.
- Format matched to placement: square feed, vertical Story/Reel, or print poster ratio, plus where to leave safe margin so cropping on each platform doesn't cut the text.
- A remix plan: which direction to generate first, what to ask Ideogram to remix if the first pass misses (tighter crop, different background, same look in a new ratio), and how many iterations is reasonable before rethinking the brief instead of re-rolling.
- The gaps it needs filled: brand colors, logo, existing product photos, or approved claims — named explicitly instead of guessed.
- The verdict (always closes with this): a 0–100 score for how ready this brief is to hand to Ideogram, based only on what was provided; a threshold traffic light — 🟢 80+ generate now; 🟡 50–79 generate the strongest direction first while you fill the named gaps; 🔴 <50 missing brand/product basics, not ready yet; the single next action (usually: paste this brief into Ideogram, or provide the missing brand asset); and the honesty caveat that the score reflects brief readiness, not a promise that the generated image will convert — that depends on the actual creative, audience, and offer.
This skill writes the brief and, when the Ideogram connector is available, can hand it off to generate; it does not guarantee Ideogram will render exactly as described, and it does not have opinions about your sales results.
A customer quote stays a customer quote. When the brief carries a testimonial that claims a result — skin cleared up, sales doubled, pain gone — keep it attributed and in quotation marks, and never restate it as the brand's own promise in the headline or overlay. "Ana, 34: 'my skin cleared up in three weeks'" is a testimonial; "Clears your skin in three weeks" is an efficacy claim the business now has to defend. Say so in the brief when you spot one.
How to use
- Describe what you need: the asset type (poster, ad image, mockup, logo direction), where it will be shown, and any exact text that must appear (price, date, headline).
- Share what you have: brand colors, logo, product photos, past ads that worked. If you don't have them, say so — the skill will flag it instead of inventing a brand.
- Ask for the brief: "Give me an Ideogram brief for [asset], for [platform/placement], with this exact headline text."
- Review the verdict and the named gaps before generating. Fill what's flagged, or accept the 🟡/🔴 read and generate anyway knowing what's missing.
- Use the remix plan to iterate with Ideogram instead of writing a new brief from scratch each time.
Best for
Small business owners, solo marketers, and local shops who need on-brand-looking visuals without a design team, plus agencies who want a fast, structured starting brief before opening Ideogram. Works best when the Ideogram connector is enabled and you can share at least a rough sense of your brand and offer; without the Ideogram connector, the skill still produces a usable brief for any image tool, but it won't generate anything itself.
